The article discusses the possible role of the amino acid sarcosine might play in the invasiveness of prostate carcinoma cells on surroinding tissues. Sarcosine, the authors contend, is found in elevated concentrations in the blood and urine of patients with agressive form of prostate cancer. The relationship between the sarcosine and the metastatic invasion of prostate carcinoma should be further investigated andy might well be a marker to signal physicians to start treating their prostate cancer patients more aggressively.
